T-girl - I'm starting out with this little gem of a term for obvious reasons... I'm not exactly sure where the term 'T-girl' came from but basically, it's used as a general term to describe genetic guys who like appearing as genetic girls. T-girls are typically fairly serious when it comes to dressing, trying to look and act the part from head to toe. This term has sort of been finding its way into the Porn Industry little by little but is not as widely used as other terms describing girls in the Industry. Crossdresser (CD) - The definition of this term actually widely varies from country to country... so, I'll be presenting the U.S. version here... And, again, this is only my opinion based upon the experiences I've had. This term is widely considered to be a  guy who wears womens' clothing on a regular basis, usually for sexual gratification. The image this conjures up is usually the 'Trucker in a Dress' caricature. Crossdressers are typically less serious about 'passing' than a Transvestite or T-girl. Transvestite (TV) - The term 'Transvestite' kind of carries a little bit of a 'clinical' ring to it which has really caused it to fall out of favor with the Transgendered community... not that it was ever 'in favor' to begin with really. Anyway... transvestites typically take dressing a little more seriously... wearing wigs, makeup, and appropriate clothing in the hopes of 'passing' in public. The term is not widely used in the Porn Community due to its somewhat negative connotations to the general public. Transgendered / Transsexual (TG / TS) - This term is often used interchangeably with 'Transvestite' which is really not correct. While most Transvestites and Crossdressers enjoy dressing and acting the part of a genetic woman, Transgendered and Transsexual persons actually FEEL the part. This causes a much stronger reaction in the mind and usually transgendered and trassexual persons will or are considering some sort of surgery to rectify their bodies with their minds. Shemale - This term is perhaps the number one terms used to describe Transgendered / Transsexual persons who are or have engaged in the Adult Entertainment Industry. Some TG/TS persons feel this is a degrading term because if this fact and will be offended if referred to in that manner by an outsider. Ladyboy - A general term that is becoming more and more utilized to describe Asian Shemales. This term used to be used largely to describe Asian T-girls from Thailand or The Philippines but is definitely more widely used these days to describe all Asian Shemales. Tranny - Also an Adult Entertainment term, most TG / TS persons consider this term to be highly offensive if referred to using it. Typically though, those of us who are actually in the Adult Entertainment Industry realize that it's a term that most guys are comfortable with so it's fairly accepted. Tranny Chaser / Admirer - If you find yourself being asked, "Are you a Tranny Chaser or an Admirer?" you had better be ready with an answer. Here's the difference. A "Tranny Chaser" usually is a straight identifying male who like to 'grab a little Tranny ass' every once in a while. A "Tranny Admirer" is usually a male who is somwhat if not altogether comfortable with their 'Tranny' side. These are the guys who frequent TG/TS friendly bars and do the wining and dining of the T-girls they find there :-) We like them :-) Variations of Terms - There are a TON of variations in terms used to describe Tgirls... here's just a few... Billyboy: A Phillippines specific term Newhalf: A Japan specific term Kathoey, Katoey: A variation of Ladyboy DickGirl: A term used in Hentai (Japanese animation) to describe Shemales Futanari: Hentai characters that have both a female and male sexual organs JaneGirl: A seldom used alternate to Crossdresser but often used to describe younger persons I'm always interested in expanding my knowledge!
